The first typhoon shelter in Hong Kong was located near Causeway Bay. Following the typhoon of 1874, the first typhoon shelter was erected near Victoria Park to protect fishing boats from storms. It is one of the hidden gems in Hong Kong for Gen Z to take photos during sunset because you must take a Tanka, boat dwellers, from the pier to the shelter.
